Deane’s Irish Pub & Grill

A wee pice of Ireland here in Brasov, Transilvania. Deane’s continues a long line of eating and drinking establishements here at 19 Republicii, which goes way back to 1910, when it was Magyar Evo. Haydn Deane, a Medical Doctor, came to Brasov in 1998, having married a local law student, Alina, after they met in New York.

He had opend his firsth restaurant, Deane’s on the Square, in Helen’s Bay, in 1991, wich quickly became one of the best restaurants in Ireland and soon was awarded a Michelin Star.
The restaurant later became Deane’s Belfast.

As there was no golf course in Brasov, he thought 19 was the perfect number for an Irish restaurant. It was a strip club when he bought it! We hope you enjoy our wee pice of Ireland. If not please let us know, so we can do better next time.
